The tire and wheel protection already paid for itself. I got a bolt in my tire and they placed a loaner on my vehicle within the hour I call them. Set up a service appointment and had to pay a $25 deductible. Worth it for me.

Pros: paid for itself, fast service
Cons: 25 deductible

Vredestein Tires

I’ve run Vredestein Quatrac Pros and Pro+ on two different cars and loved them. They are fine in snow, obviously not a snow tire but better than stock all seasons. Where they really shine is in the rain. One of the best rain tires out.

Pros: best rain tires

MICHELIN Tires

Just put on the alpin 5s for winter. Car is pretty good in 6” of snow or less and the alpin 5s are actually fun to drive in cold dry.

Pros: fun to drive, good in snow
Vehicle: BMW

Continental Tires

I love my Seigla with Conti Race King 2.2 but there’s no doubt that it’s slower on the road than someone riding 40 mm tires.

Cons: slower on the road

So I have run the cc2 on my 2010 legacy for about 30k, I'm pretty familiar with their good and bad points. They wear very well so long as you rotate every 5k or less and keep your alignment to spec. After 30k I'm still at 8/32. They have phenomenal snow traction and outstanding rain performance. Summer performance is fine, not dedicated summer sport tire level but fine for me. They can be a little bit louder but nothing that bothers. They do pick up gravel, so you do hear that as it gets ejected and they will cut your mileage by about 2-3 mpg, also no big deal. All in all I find them to be the best tires I've ever run on an all wheel drive car and I will always run them on my subie unless something is proven better.

Pros: phenomenal snow traction
Cons: cut mileage, pick gravel
Mileage: 30000 km

I tried the Nankang CR-S V2 to see if it’s any good. On the road, noise levels are good for this kind of tire, nothing to complain about. Also, driving normally, it handles rain without having issues. That being said, I don’t know if I can say that they handled my last trackday particularly well.

Once they are up to temp and I figured out the correct pressures, the balance was very neutral and it had immense amounts of grip. My laptimes were fast and consistent. So far, so good.

The day came to an early end though, due to a puncture on the front left tire. I am not sure what was the cause of this, but this is the only tire I ever had where it happened. Maybe it’s just really bad luck, but again, I’ve never had that happen with any other tire I used. Don’t mind the wear on the picture, the tire wore down badly because I did an entire (slow) lap on the flat tire when it happened, all the other tires showed no issues in terms of that.

Pros: good noise, handles rain, immense grip
Cons: prone to punctures, trackday issues

I have the same tires on my work van (Ford Transit), also from 2022 and they look the same. They are also very understeery in wet weather

Cons: understeery in wet weather
