On my old Jeep Wrangler, the only plugs that it ran well on were NGKs.
Owner reviews for spark plug
Engine starts better and in some cases the engine runs smoother. The big issue now a days is getting a legit NGK instead of a Chinese knockoff.
NGK BP7ES replaced the torch that took 3 to 6 attempts to start on LP from large tank every time. Now starts on 1 try every time w the NGK.
I just put in regular AC Delco plugs and it runs great.
I use only NGK or Beru spark plugs.
I bought six OEM spark plugs at the Toyota dealership parts counter and it was $12!
I been using ngk BR6HS plugs for years.
My 2010 came with denso, replaced them with ngk at 100k, then at 200k replaced them with denso…not sure if it made a difference
Lesson learns : \_EVERYTHING\_ 'empi' is trash .
About 100 years ago I tried ones like the EMPI’s with similar results.
