I pulled the plugs this morning and replaced them with Bosch cooper plugs, the only match that was available in local Autozone. There are no more misfires (for now), which makes plugs the culprit.

Pros: no more misfires
Mileage: 133000 km

The plug they sent me (Bosch #4417 FGR7DQP Platinum +4) runs absolutely fine on my engine, actually it feels better then before, but I just worried if it is indeed not the correct plug, will it do harm to my engine?

Pros: improved engine feel, smooth operation
Cons: worried about compatibility, potential engine harm
Vehicle: Volkswagen Phaeton
Part number: 4417 FGR7DQP PLATINUM +4

I got the plugs in just fine, and since this was the first time they had ever been changed, the originals were still there. Aside from having the Audi/ VW logos printed on the topside of the plugs' insulators, these are regular ol' NGK PZFR5D-11 plugs (stamped on the metal). The new ones I put in were pre-gapped at .040, and the old, worn ones were at .044 for the passenger-side plugs and at .043 for the driver-side plugs. I'm guessing that the elevated distance/numbers reflects natural wear and metal erosion over time.

Pros: fit just fine
Cons: worn old plugs
Part number: PZFR5D-11

Been using bkr7e since 2007. They are ok, but not optimal in any way. Im now running Bosch F5DPOR. \"OEM Audi RS2\" They are gap free, and runs perfect at least at 15psi in my car.

Pros: runs perfect at 15psi
Cons: not optimal in any way
Vehicle: Audi
Part number: F5DPOR

Just reporting in after some usage... the NGK 4644 aka BKR7E seems to foul easier than the Autolite plugs I ran previously.

Cons: fouls easier
Part number: 4644
