that photo's on koni's. now on b&g's.
Koni yellows/Fk springs
Bilstein PSS9
In my Passat, I found that by just going with the Koni FSD shocks, I got much more neutral handling and better cornering turn-in.
This is what I did to make my '80 Diesel Caddy a 1 Ton Rabbit on the cheap: 16V Scirocco front springs; they have the highest A-1 spring rates that came stock in the US. Bilstein HD front shocks.
my truck used to be raised... i used mk1 cabriolet front springs with bilstein hd shocks, was super stiff!
I run bilstein HDs (part of a Shine suspension setup). They're not adjustable, but I wouldn't know what to adjust.
Personally I think Koni Reds (better design and build quality, but the same soft ride, with performance gain), are too soft. I've had them on some of my other cars before, and I don't care for them. I've been much happier with the Bilsteins I've installed when compared to the Konis.
I've never had a good set or known anyone who did. I've had Monroes faill in less than 1k miles on my Rabbit.
