Our OEM racks are made by Mont Blanc, many had said Thule, but that's not correct.
Owner reviews for roof rack
I have Thule Aeroblade Edge with the included rubber strips. Note that these bars do not stick laterally past the roof rails, which probably helps. With just the bars they make almost no noise that I can notice even at 80 MPH.

My XC70 has the best factory rack ever. Stainless steel full length rails, OEM accessory Volvo-branded Thule blade crossbars.
With my Thule rack, included with the fit kit are pieces of rubber hose that were placed inside the outer door weather seal.
I've had both OEM Thule and Thule racks for years and never had water problems

I had a Thule rack mounted for a year and had used the clear vinyl stickers that came with it. When I took off the rack and the stickers, there was a cloudy haze where the feet were. It seemed to slowly fade and disappeared entirely when I had my car detailed six months or so later.
I've got the OEM ones, made by Thule, and they whistle so loud that my buddy says he can hear them when he drives behind me.
I just put the VW OEM roof racks on my 2020 Tiguan R_Line. They make quite a bit of noise. Noticeable at 60kmh.
