Don't do 10k oil changes. Stick to 5k with OEM filter, Upgrated QX80/GTR filter or WIX Filter.

Do you drive this to the strip club?

While Ford said you can use 5-20 I know where I live it gets warmer than 86 degrees so in my F150 I run 5-30 or 10/40. 

I’ve had no issues with synth and have 255k on it.  

Also…I would recommend a Motorcraft filter.

Since you're doing your own oil changes, just start buying OEM oil filters in bulk and stay just ahead of the maintenance schedule and it'll last forever.

VW Genuine filters used on all oil changes too.

I\u2019ve been bringing these OEM Toyota filters to the shop for years now. And they\u2019re always the exact same ones, and moreover, they\u2019ve always put them on for me without a problem. Today, for some reason, they told me that it\u2019s not compatible with my car?

Avoid the blue Subaru filters. They are Fram made with cheap components.

I gave up doing that stuff myself in 1984 after buying a Nissan Sentra. I went out to do an oil change. And even with that 1.6 liter motor by the time I FOUND the damn filter\u2026I then found that i couldn\u2019t reach it.
