Mobil Oil filter

I use the M1-301 as well, the added capacity from the oversized filter is just nice for peace of mind. It's a PITA to get in and out though.

Pros: added capacity
Cons: PITA to get in/out
Part number: M1-301

Fram Oil filter

Get a dealer filter, or Mahle or something, don't get a Fram. I use a Fram on my 66 Mustang 289, but not on my 1.8T.

Cons: not for 1.8T engine
Vehicle: Volkswagen
