Stock horn was a joke against an 18 wheeler Log truck that didn't follow traffic laws. Went with Hella Horns and won't look back.

Pros: won't look back

I installed a set of Fiamm Highway Blaster horns once. To make them loud you need to install the optional sub wiring harness with a relay. This steps up the power and your motorcycle will sound like an American car from the 1970s.

Pros: loud, sounds like car
Cons: needs wiring harness

the hot ticket was to replace the stock horn with a VW bug horn. They're only a little larger, require no other modifications, and are noticeably louder and "brighter."

Pros: louder, brighter, no modifications
Cons: a little larger
Vehicle: Volkswagen Beetle

Normal. Some time around spring ‘23 they took many cost saving measures. Right around time they went from two 12V batteries to one. Prior production had two 300 Hz Hella horns.

Cons: cost saving measures

The solution for me was buying a Toyota. Now, if you own a Toyota, you'll know that they all seem to come with the most comically high pitched Noddy sounding toot. I used it once and then out of embarrassment more than anything, never used it for three years.

Cons: comically high pitched sound, embarrassing to use
Vehicle: Toyota
