OEM BMW Fuel tank

I don't let my tank in my BMW Z3 go below half, not really for any of the reasons listed by the others, although they do have merit.

Pros: peace of mind
Vehicle: BMW Z3

I did this swap to my 1990 Jetta 2-door Digi II CE2 car and my fuel gauge reads correctly. I am using the original 1990 Jetta instrument cluster. It is one of the best mods I have made to my car and recommend it to anyone but I haven't noticed any bigger capacity using the Mk3 tank compared to the Mk2 tank they seem to hold the same amount.

Pros: fuel gauge reads correctly, best mod, recommended
Cons: no bigger capacity
Vehicle: Volkswagen Jetta

Geely is a company you can call as the OG Chinese car dealer in UAE. Had an Emgrand X7 brand new from them back in 2014 and within its first 50-100 kms of driving, the fuel tank starts leaking. The car was sh*t quality but company hospitality was amazing.

Pros: company hospitality amazing
Cons: fuel tank starts leaking
Vehicle: Geely Emgrand X7
Mileage: 100 km

Mitsuboshi Fuel tank

The fuel tank on my 95 fractured, and a new replacement is $1000k oem. You have to do some digging to find replacement parts since these vehicles are not all that common.

Cons: fractured, expensive replacement, hard to find
Vehicle: Mitsubishi Montero

My W8 wagon had fuel leaks a couple of times. A few months ago, it started leaking again, on the driver's side near front of tank. There was a crack in tank, mechanic said "this is a common failure" on Passat tanks.

Cons: fuel leaks, crack in tank
Vehicle: Volkswagen Passat
