Not a Tiguan thing, but I switched from Castrol to Motul oil and stopped the oil consumption I was having.

Had a 2.0 Diesel Tiguan, same model as you. No oil consimption at all over 80.000 km.

I have always used shell 10w-40 and did regular oil changes around 4-4.5k. Faced no issues what so ever, engine was still healthy, no oil consumption, almost same performance.

Every 5,000-6,500 km oil change using **VW.508** oil (NO 10,000 km oil changes)... Oil like Liqui Moly **Top Tec 6200 0W-20**

Total Quartz 9000 5w30 is a good value for money option.

5W30 Valvoline Restore and Protect is good

I use 5w-30 pennzoil ultra platinum full synthetic with the oem motor craft oil filter

I change my oil every 3k miles

Start by getting rid of that junk liqui moly and replace it with ROWE RS 5w40 (i can link many kits if need be)
