I just had this exact issue with my MK6. It was scary how much it was vibrating. I even had that 75MPH+ vibration and was convinced it was the suspension or a wheel.

The engine and transmission mounts were completely shot. New engine mounts and everything is back to normal.

Pros: back to normal
Cons: scary vibrating
Vehicle: Volkswagen Golf

Seven years ago I rolled the dice and bought a 2010 GTI with my eyes open. After 110k miles it has been the best, most reliable car I've ever owned. It is maintained as the factory recommends, although I am proactive about replacing worn out rubber parts to try to keep the car feeling as tight as possible. The engine and transmission mounts have been swapped out and soon I'll be doing the suspension.

Pros: reliable, best car owned
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 110000 km

If you click on the album link, there are pictures of the ones i used for my b4 swap(close ups of the part number), they are ADR engine mounts used on 97-00 Audi Cabriolets in Europe.

Pros: ADR engine mounts

Anchor brand is kinda hit or miss, sold just about everywhere but never know if the quality control person was actually at work that day or not. For price difference and it being a lightweight Camry engine id go ahead and do it, if they last 5 years it's better than $700.

Pros: potentially long lasting (5 years)
Cons: inconsistent quality control
Vehicle: Toyota Camry

My 09 2.0T CC has the exactly same problem as yours. I can feel it almost every time when the car stopped at traffic lights... About three months ago, I let the VW dealer checked my car since it was still under warranty, but they did not find any mechanical problem, then they replaced three engine mounts... I felt a litter better but not too much. and now I feel the extent of the problem are back to about the same as the first time I felt it. I will let the dealer check again soon. One thing I believed is the engine mounts are not the parts that cause the problem.

Pros: felt a little better
Cons: problem came back
Vehicle: Volkswagen

I bought anchors for my 07 matrix, the rear mount was a 1hr job, every other mount was 30 mins. The rear mount turned into a 12 hour job after it failed (worse than the oem mount with 180k miles on it) after 2k miles. Accelerating made the engine twist and bang against a few things, and made the CV joints bind up. The old anchor mounts studs weren't in the exact same spot as the OEM, causing me to bend then into place, then the spot for the engine bracket to attach to the rubber was actually smaller than OEM, and shrunk the bracket attached to the engine. So when I put an OEM mount in, it didn't fit anymore due to bent brackets.

Cons: failed quickly, poor fitment, engine vibration, CV joint issues
Vehicle: Toyota Matrix
Mileage: 3218 km

The anchor mounts are the definition of "You looked different online". My 2 year old could've crafted me better mounts tbh

Cons: poor quality, not as advertised

I've had horrible luck with Anchor brand. Bolt stripped out of the rubber. Had to drill the SOB out. 2-hours. Never again.

Cons: bolt stripped, difficult removal
