I always thought that Corteco was the OE supplier for engine mounts, at least on the 540 and I’ve used them on all our other BMWs. They’re excellent quality and readily available at a reasonable price. It is definitely becoming more and more challenging to find quality replacement parts for some applications. It has become so bad that it’s hard to trust that the same manufacturer’s part that you used last time is going to be decent this time around

But I replaced the engine mounts recently on mine (not OEM) and it works perfectly fine. The only part I am aware of that is not available anymore, is the break booster.
Just hit 100k and dumped $3k into my 15 S. Engine mounts, shock replace, fluids, pcv. Intend to drive this car until it dies ????. Nothing serious yet. Appreciate your insights
I used anchor mounts for my Forester definitely a solid option.
Hi guys, I have a 2019 Q5, and same thing 45k to 50k miles in audi says we have a hydraulic leak. Audi says it must be from a bad engine mount. I didn't fix it for $2k, and didn't have any issues. It's rubber to reduce the vibration. My engine doesn't rattle, or vibrate uncontrollably.
Anchor is the same brand you get when you bring your car to your local mechanic. They are not amazing, they are not the worst. I’ve used them plenty and haven’t had an issue, others have.
I put some Anchors on my Altima and didn’t last 2 years.
As a mechanic 20+ years, Anchor is pure junk. Anchor still makes their mounts the old fashioned way: injected molded solid rubber. Many times they are so stiff, it feels like you bolted the engine directly to the frame.
Anchor is dog shit
Anchor mounts are shit.
