I had an 8th generation hybrid and it was smooth as butter. No shift shock from stepped gears just seamless acceleration.
Owner reviews for CVT transmission
The eCVT is much smoother.
Once he rebuilt the transmission he said it will work better than the original. Used the car for 20,000 miles like nothing happened then sold it.
I have the 7spd dry-clutch DCT in one of my vehicles, a 2019 Elantra GT N-Line with over 62,000 miles. No issues. That includes driving in stop-and-go traffic regularly.
I have a 2015 Infiniti QX60 with 100k miles and it's already on its second CVT transmission and second transfer case. Both replaced under warranty at about 70k.
all nissan cvt tranny cars should be gotten rid of fast. 135000 miles is a record for that expensive unit.
The CVT Transmission is complete utter POS in Nissans.
Their CVT's are the biggest chunks of garbage ever.
Nissan CVTs are known for having issues and failing prematurely.
Nissan Versa by a long shot. Everything was great until the CVT transmission cooked itself at 110k miles.
