I use amsoil every time, It's the best. Nissans BS NF-3 is made by idemitsu, which is a 3rd party company. It only meets standard lubricity. I used to be a tech for Nissan but now have my own shop and use AMSOIL in almost all applications where lubricant is needed.
Owner reviews for CVT fluid
I changed mine one with Castrol ATF/CVT fluid and 6000 km later nothing wrong happened.
I have changed my fluid a few times, the first time was genuine Nissan brand CVT fluid. The next couple times was with Lucas CVT fluid! I personally had much better results with the Lucas CVT fluid over the Nissan brand fluid...it eliminated any shudder it had, smoothed out the acceleration, no more lag in-between shifting gears. It just overall seems like it's running more efficient and performing at optimal level!
I’ve had great success with AMSOIL and it’s 100% synthetic. Not a blend like the OEM fluid
151,000 miles (243,000km) of 75-85 mph mountain pass commuting of 200 miles a day...it is VERY similar to how it felt as a new car. The same old occasional shudder it’s had since new is only noticeable at certain extreme outdoor temperatures or before the car warms up.
Changed the fluid after I bought a 09 altima sedan around 180k km. Castrol atf/cvt fluid and one filter used. It's been 7000km now and the car is doing fine.
Replace your cvt fluid that is spec n2-n3 for nissans. I have a 2018 rogue. Changed the cvt and rear diff with Ams oil. Way smoother shifting.
I use Asia idemitsu cvt fluid. It’s cheaper. My car still runs good at 195k miles.
I've got a 2019 Murano with 97K no issues. Change the CVT fluid every 40K.
I have used both Aisin and Toyota CVt FE fluid. Only difference I can see is the Toyota CVT bottle is made in Japan and the aisin CVt fluid is made in USA. I always stick with made in Japan things.
