I have a Kia optima and Kias are notorious oil guzzlers. The engine system clean is for waiting too long I guess. Engine air filter and cabin air filter are easy to replace yourself.

Pros: easy to replace yourself
Cons: Kias are oil guzzlers
Vehicle: Kia Optima

I change my oil+filter every 5k, engine+cabin filter every 15k, and CVT Drain and Fill every 60k (just once so far) and have not noticed anything weird or concerning.

OEM BMW Cabin filter

Have had my 2015 535i X drive for 3 months now and I love it. Was looking at B58 for a while, and decided to go with the one I have now because it had 80k miles, was in great shape and had good maintenance records.

Pros: great shape, good records
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 128747 km

Tesla Cabin filter

125k miles on my 2020. It's been flawless. Just normal maintenance like tires, cabin filter, and brake fluid. Been to Tesla service center for two precautionary recalls.

In terms of build quality one tweeter speaker got lose which caused a rattle that I was able to fix, and I sometimes get a rattle from the passenger side B pillar, otherwise everything else has been great.

I've lost maybe 10-12ish miles of range due to degradation, most of that happened in the first two years, I've haven't seen it degrade any further in years.

Honestly one of the best cars I've owned.

Pros: flawless, normal maintenance
Cons: tweeter speaker got lose
Mileage: 201168 km

Hengst Cabin filter

Hengst is pretty good, but for cabin filter i noticed that the change interval is more important than the filter itself.

Pros: pretty good
Vehicle: Audi

K&N Cabin filter

I can tell you for sure the K&N flows better. the new stock filter definitely made me crank the knob up for more fan speed. the flip side is that the K&N does NOT do a good job actually filtering anything the size of sand or smaller. you will also be able to smell every molecule of exhaust and exterior air using the the K&N. stock filter helps reduce the scent of "outside"

Pros: flows better, good velocity and flow
Cons: poor filtration, smell exhaust/exterior air

Motorcraft Cabin filter

2014 XLT, I do have remorse because it doesn't have a cabin filter so my ac is clogged, heater doesn't work and the after market parts don't fit, so I have to buy the Motorcraft parts at 6x the price....

Cons: aftermarket parts don't fit
Vehicle: Ford

OEM FORD Cabin filter

I’ve changed the cabin air filter probably 4 times now, used a foam evap coil cleaner twice, ran Lysol thru the cowl multiple times, did a descent bomb in the car. At absolute best, this lasts for a couple weeks and then back to this gross mildew smell coming from vents.

Cons: gross mildew smell
Vehicle: Ford
