MEYLE Bushings

As far as brand preference goes, I would go with Meyle or Lemforder over the other brands. It's not that the metal portion is going to give you any issues, but the bushings from those brands are going to hold up better than others.

Pros: bushings hold up better

So, fitted most of the new bushings to the front suspension. Still need to do some of the things, but at least most of it is done.

Pros: most of it is done

manual trans cars can have a bushing crumble apart in the shifter. Supposedly you can't buy just the bushing at a parts store, they want to sell you the whole shift cable set. There is plastic and even delrin and sometimes aluminum upgrades on ebay. I used a steel spacer/collar, a washer and a bolt (works better then ever, no chance of failure)

Pros: works better then ever
Cons: bushing crumble apart

We've sold a lot of Meyle bushings, and I've run them on my own cars, with very good success.

Pros: very good success

Turns out the bushings between the strut body and insert were worn. New ones from Bilstein fixed the rattle.

Pros: fixed the rattle
Cons: bushings were worn

Don't get cheap no-name stuff. Stick with OEM, Lemforder or "real" Meyle

Pros: stick with OEM, Lemforder
Cons: cheap no-name stuff
