At the front, the first bushings to go are the upper control arms where they meet the strut. If you're confident that the ball joints are fine, you can replace these bushings with poly bushings, push the old ones out and the new ones back in, I did this without taking the arms completely off the car.

Pros: replace bushings without arm removal

OEM Volvo Bushings

It's reliable. Mine hasn't needed more than recommended maintenance for nearly 10 years. I just changed some bushings that were due because of age and now it's good for another 10 years. If this car has been well maintained, buy it! This is a great car, you can't go wrong.

Pros: reliable, great car
Cons: bushings due because age

They're also planted at highway speeds- no problem cruising at triple digits. With nearly 120k miles, unless you have service records that show otherwise, you're probably doing a lot of bushings and mounts. Will make the car feel brand new.

Pros: planted at highway speeds
Mileage: 120000 km

After having the Febi TTRS bushing for a few weeks now I would highly recommend this upgrade. The steering feels much tighter, great feedback and much less "floaty" when weighted up in a corner. The overall feel is much more "solid" now compared to the worn stock bushing.

Pros: steering feels tighter, great feedback
Cons: less floaty, more solid

MEYLE Bushings

I use meyle for bushings and nothing else. Most of the posts recommending them are old and before they made everything in china

Pros: good for bushings
Cons: made in China, quality decline
Vehicle: BMW

MOOG Bushings

I've installed customer supplied moog parts, and I had to drive with the customer to show them the bushings were worse than the OE ones we took out.

Cons: bushings worse than OE

I am going to have to replace every control arm, toe arm, trailing arm bushing or complete arm again because I bought cheap meyle stuff and the car feels like it wobbles from the bushings being too soft.

Cons: wobbles, bushings too soft
