I've very much enjoyed my EBC green pads on my dailies, they do dust a bit but grab pretty nice and don't squeal. Never had a buildup that causes vibration.
Owner reviews for brake pads
I've run multiple sets (Green Stuff and Yellow Stuff) without issue. Yes, the yellows dust quite a bit but no more than most semi-metallic pads I've had. As far as vibrations go, my 2013 Abarth has Yellow Stuffs all around that feel great and just completed a track day last Monday without issue.
The issue with the brakes is mainly from the oe brake pads which have no pedal modulation and act like an on/off switch. You can change out the front pads to Akebono Euro pads (fairly inexpensive) and it will provide actual pedal control of the brakes.
I bought some Endless SS-Y's from FR-sport and they're way better than the stock pads in every way. They don't even cause dust.
The OEM Brembo pads aren't bad at all. Mine squeak here and there, but rarely. No stopping power issues. They dust a lot.
I consider my W204 C63 visceral, even if not analog. The 6.2 V8 makes all kinds of nasty noises you would not expect from a Mercedes and it howls all the way up to 7200rpm, which may not be that high, but still impresses me given the size of the engine. The car is quick, noisy and has the brakes to back it up.
2017 Alltrack brake upgrade I purchased these brakes on E-Bay as an upgrade to my worn brakes. As you can see I have a 2016 GTI PP (Big Brake). I love the car and the brakes are outrageous. At over 140 MPH I had to get on them hard because somebody decided to move left because he didn't like me driving fast. They are fantastic.
When I picked her up, I was told my front and rear brake pads are all down 1mm already. At this rate I’ll likely need to replace them around 15k. I thought this made sense for the front pads since they’re the JURID high performance ones, but the rears being worn that much seemed strange. I don’t drive fast/brake hard/etc, never track, or do anything otherwise that should wear my brakes prematurely.
I hate akebono pads. They last a long time but feel like crap and don't stop the car nearly as well.
