My Nissan Leaf battery, which everyone on Reddit with an electric car they bought yesterday is very sure will die any minute, has yet to lose any of its range after 6 years and 50k miles.

I noticed that between 4ah and 5ah battery is little difference, but not much, 15% i would say. BUT 5.5 procore seems like 50% better than 4AH bosch battery and at least 15-20% stronger than bosch 5AH battery. When i say stronger, it is noticable in speed, strenght when i cut pellets, or drill concrete, or doing some 100mm or larger screws.
Across four EVs (all GM - Equinox EV, Prologue, Bolt, Volt) I've had not a single issue with the 12V battery. On my 2015 Volt I traded it in with the original battery... in 2023. That's almost 10 years old!
I'm at over 90k miles in a 2022 Kia EV6 and haven't had an ICCU issue. All I've done outside normal wear and tear like tires is upgraded to an AGM 12V battery to solve crappy OEM battery problems
BMW here. No issues.
Energizer or Yuasa are good quality from my experience. I’ve had an energizer for 5 years now still running and my last yuasa ran great till I drained it to zero doing stupid.
I do exactly the same tasks and mine don't drain that horribly. For me the battery drains quickly while watching movies and gaming only.
same issue with daily driver 2021 E63. In this case though, the car doesnt give me a warning as much as the Mercedes app on my phone - it alerts to low battery -even critically low, but when I get into the car it starts and there is no message.
Worst batteries I've ever had the misfortune to buy. Both died within the space of 3 months and wouldn't put out any power whatsoever. No matter if I tried to charge them, it made no difference.
Could be worse ... I bought a new 24 OB and within 3 months, the battery was replaced. Love the car, but crap batteries
