Ive been really happy with my yuasa battery, its only stuttered to start once this winter(and unfortunately I dont have a garage here so theyve been outside pets for the time being), and that was after sitting for a week waiting for ice to melt, otherwise riding nearly daily and once a month or so conncting it to my battery tender.

The Odyssey PC680 is probably the best battery out there, if you can make it fit. I'd stay away from lithiums, you buy those when you are looking to save weight. For reliable low temperature operation, stick with a lead acid thats had decades of development.
With your help, I just replaced my 9 year, still well functioning battery, in violation of the "if ain't broke..." rule. The process went without a hitch, thanks to your great information.
Get an Optima battery and the battery minder - it's just a trickle charger that slow charges the battery to a certain voltage and then turns itself off. That's what I use in my S2000.
I'm using Deka. But it's a good choice. I haven't any problems with it.
Agreed with others, weigh your usage and environment/climate into the equation. We will personally be replacing ours with a deep discharge battery like the Optima Yellow, since I've noticed that of recent we've been running a lot quick errands that involve one person running in while everyone else hangs out in the car with A/C on.
Deka batteries are still good quality. They are somewhat harder to find than other brands.
While I did that I went ahead and grabbed a Red Top Optima Battery. Got everything back together, it turns over great but it doesn't spark.
I've had a few of the Odyssey batteries... Never lasted more than about 14-18 months before dead. Take a look at these: https://shop.antigravitybatteries.com/products/starter-batteries/automotive/ag-h6-rs/
Purchased one a few years ago, bad a year later and yes I have a good battery tender.
