A very poor tire, I think if you treat them as summer tires and put on winters or good all season + 3PMSF tires like Michelin Crossclimate 2s, you'll be much happier in the snow.
I was a little disappointed with the icy road performance of the Yokohama AVID GT that came on mine.
Yokohama avid on my xse non-premium as well. We just got our first snow here in Maryland, and it performed exceptionally imo.
Depends how u drive ur car. But if budget not an issue, go for michelin or yokohama.
In August 2020, I had Yokohama Avid Ascend LX installed on the vehicle and I have to say that 2 months later that was the best decision I made to swap the OEM's off. My CRV came back to what it used to be and even better in the driving experience. The road behavior is great, breaking is solid and my gas mileage went way down. Wet driving feel really safe.
I replaced mine with Yokohama YK740 GTX's.
I went with the Yoko Geolanders. They are quieter than the Michelins that they replaced, but my gas mileage has dropped like 5%.
The accuracy improved after I installed new Yokohama 225/60/18 tires. With the stock Giti tires the speedo was showing 1-2mph over the actual speed which I believe was also affecting the MPG accuracy. The speedo is spot-on now with the new "60" series tires.
I had Yokohama’s but I’m not sure if it was my car or the tires I got were defective they kept shaking over 70 miles . I got them re balanced twice and eventually gave up and got a new set
I’ve used Yokohama before and they were great.
