My neighbor bought a Prius 15 years ago, whoever they came out, the dealer told him it would cost $5000 for a new battery replacement. It lasted until 2024, it cost $1500 to have new battery put in,aftermarket of course
Reviews of OEM Toyota parts For Business
Japan
I bought six OEM spark plugs at the Toyota dealership parts counter and it was $12!
My 2010 started to leak really bad around 170k miles. Pretty easy repair.
I’m driving a 98 Toyota Camry and just changed the water pump at 300k(which includes changing the timing belt).
Another vehicle the rad got low and the stream pretty much melted the top where it connected to the hose. New rad was on backorder and I needed a car so I cut the melted but off at a clean angle and attached a chunk of ABS pipe using high-temp JB weld which I reattached the hose too after it set. I regularly checked it over the next 1-2 weeks until the shop got a new rad in and had no issues.
On my 2023 Highlander I was getting flashed by about 50% of oncoming traffic. I parked near a wall in the dark, put tape on the wall at the brightest spot. I lowered the lights a bit, perhaps about 1 1/2 inch, parked about 12 feet from the wall. I now get flashed by less than 1%.
I know for a fact that the lights on my Sienna platinum and my Model Y are extremely bright and very likely blinding. I know they are adjusted properly.
According to Toyota themselves It’s caused by inadequate caulking on the head gasket itself. There is a revised part number head gasket that has better longevity but in order to solve the problem entirely the engine would have to be redesigned.
I think the integrated toyota dash cam is over priced, and the app is shit.
Absolutely in love with it but I hate the TRD hood school
rattle and the CarPlay disconnecting all the time along with having to press allow over and over again.
