I just replaced the cabin air filter on my 2005 Outback, and I’m pretty sure it still had the original filter from 20 years ago. It was a bit of a job to get to it (remove some trim and the glove box).
How did my dealership convert my aftermarket cabin air filter to am OEM filter then show me how it was covered in mold & leaves in the waiting room?
They are the absolute worst air filters on the planet. I really like the STP filters from autozone, but to each their own (except Subaru cabin air filters, you can literally see through them, they are garbage).
