Unfortunately the replacement is usually shittier. One thing I noticed about the stant ones is the nose that rides in the guide can pop out and stick open.
Bought a Stant from RockAuto and it has been going strong for over 5 years now.
I use a Stant 205. No problems for me, and they're pretty well recommended.
I've had no problems with the stant line either
I get the NAPA gold ones. They're a reboxed stant superstat and I've never had that product line give me a dud.
Can confirm. I bought a stant thermostat because it's the only place I could find one. They sent me a used motorad with no gasket in the wrong temp that was stuffed in a stant box.
I had the same problem on my baja turbo with a stant therm.
Put in a STANT. That was 3 years ago. No problem since.
