My 2018 Golf R was doing the some thing similar . I already had a new battery, so wasn't that. Turned out it was front left speed sensor.

I just purchased a 2011 Tiguan SE last week and fell in love with it, until my ABS, parking, airbag, traction control lights, and steering light came on. My cruise control also stopped working. I did some research on this thread and took my car to the dealership yesterday and referred the mechanic to look at the speed sensors first to save him some steps. Sure enough, it was the speed sensors.
Pros: speed sensors fixed issue
Cons: lights came on

I had all of these lights come on as well. I ran a VCDS scan and found that it was a bad ABS/Wheel speed sensor on the front driver side. So i took it out and cleaned it off with brake cleaner, let it soak for a short bit then reinstalled. The warning lights all went away.

It's been a while since I last posted, but I finally ended up getting the sensor (g38) and replced it...I replaced the g38 in my jetta and P0715 vanished and has not returned, I have driven over sixty (60) miles and have started and shut off my car many times. I am calling it a success.
Pros: P0715 vanished, success

Since my last service and the speed sensor replaced, no problems to report and have put up 2500KM. The DSG trany seems to work good so far.
