However don't drive short journeys as the dpf blocks up. Personally petrol is a better option, I own a diesel and it's not great.

You will have to replace the DPF or remove it and tune the car. They crack and fail even if you treat them right. Terrible system.
The diesel particulate filter got plugged so went with a tune.
