Reviews of OEM Volkswagen parts For Business

Last week Replaced Steering Column. VW picked up parts cost as "goodwill" effort. My cost $493.50.
I had this happen over a year ago-under warranty luckily. Took 2 weeks and a VW engineer to fix. They replaced the steering column and shipped my old one back to Germany. The car would start and then immediately shut off and give me the steering lock malfunction error.
When the heater core blew on my '91 Golf, I called VWoA and they arranged for a free goodwill replacement even though the official recall only covers up to 1990 models.
so far the alternator seams to be working. I cut and then put ends on the red wires and bolted them up. I put my multi meter on one of the two prongs on the clip and grounded the other. then turn the alt motor. the one prong that raised up was my exciter wire.
Also, it seems that it is a 120 amp alternator, so you might want to re-think using the Stock Rabbit harness and, instead, run a bigger cable, since the Rabbit alternators were 60 amps max.
Headlights are all perfect now. Both ballasts should site right side up, meaning red part is perfectly downwards and the font on the rear should be right side up (readable if your head wasn't up-side-down in your hood). So anyone else who has this 'V' shape issue probably has the same problem: incorrectly installed ballast (upside down, not in far enough, loose, etc.)
I just replaced the windshield on my 2004. It cast $816 (parts $612, labor $150, tax $53).
Mine just let go at 161400
I am really dissapointed with the 2.8 24v head
