If you want to resurface the flywheel too while you are at it check out what themagellan did to keep it from spinning - good tip.

my tach was acting up when i first got the car, I cleaned all the connections going to the coil when i replaced the coil and that fixed it.
I purchased a new oem battery today. The 12v 92ah AGM 850A EN/ SAE 520A. Hopefully this solves my current issue. I'll know a little better in the morning on my way to work. At least my key fob works from greater distances now.
I;ve found that using the Dealer for these with the coupons they send is the best bet. To me they just look the best and work the best. Last pretty good too
I did this swap to my 1990 Jetta 2-door Digi II CE2 car and my fuel gauge reads correctly. I am using the original 1990 Jetta instrument cluster. It is one of the best mods I have made to my car and recommend it to anyone but I haven't noticed any bigger capacity using the Mk3 tank compared to the Mk2 tank they seem to hold the same amount.
clean battery post and wires reconnect them and ensure they aRe tight get the voltage tested for free at these automotive stores. 12v when not running, 14v when car is running.
Finally got my car back today and the issue was fixed under warranty. The dealership replaced the whole clutch kit - clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, bearings, etc. On the invoice it states that a rivet was loose in the pressure plate and something else was wrong with it.
It was brought in by another shop that installed rear brake pads and rotors.
I had my intake manifold replaced at 30k miles now I have 107k miles and they are telling me it needs to be replaced again due to some faulty vacuum flap....never hear problems like this with Japanese cars....
The brakes are **** for anything but driving on the street, but most people know that already.
