I got some NGK DCPR8EIX's and gapped them to .022" and took them for a drive and they were fine. Then this morning on the way to work I did a 2-3 gear pull and got some misfires after my 2-3 shift.

Pros: fine initially
Cons: misfires after shift
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Part number: DCPR8EIX

After a few hours o cleaning and taking things apart, I came across the following: All in all, 3 weeks after getting everything cleaned up and the plugs, air filter, and oil changed, the car is back to making 34mph on the highway at 80, and before it was 27mpg at best.

Pros: better gas mileage
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Don't bother with platinums. Just change out BKR6e plugs every 3-6k and you'll be good. They are dirt cheap and run the best.

Pros: dirt cheap, run best
Mileage: 6000 km
Part number: BKR6E

Also, the best plugs for the car are NGK BKR7E's gapped at .032\" for unchipped and .028\" for chipped. They don't last as long since they're copper but at $2.39 a plug it's easy to afford to change them every other oil change. May not last the longest but they definitely run the best.

Pros: run the best, cheap
Cons: don't last long
Part number: BKR7E

So I went with the ever popular BKR7E plugs gapped at .028\". I bought a spark plug gapper and verified the gap which is a good thing because the BKR7E's come pre-gapped at .033\".

Pros: verified gap, good thing
Cons: pre-gapped at .033
