I just did my resivoir as well a few weeks ago; no clips broke, still have the original lines on. Used the new Motorcraft Yellow as well, like you've got. Car runs better than ever, and the heat/AC is extra responsive/changes when I touch the dial (instead of waiting five minutes to finally change).

I also have a 2018 Sport. Just changed mine at 35k miles. It had orange in it but the replacement is Motorcraft yellow. I highly recommend you do not use anything else. The motorcraft coolant is better than the ones you will find in stores. I used the 50/50 mix and was able to get the orange out with 4 gallons of repeated drain and fill. The orange and yellow are compatible but the new yellow has more corrosion inhibitors.

The Motorcraft gold coolant that Ford used from the factory had silicates in it. It became a problem with the 6.0 because of the high temps of the EGR cooler, silicates turn to sand which clogs the EGR cooler which restricts flow of coolant to oil cooler which causes both to fail.

Yellow Motorcraft coolant is good. It's way better to protect the water pump.

For me personally, the OEM motor craft lasted 150k miles so I would use that again. It\u2019s not too expensive and you\u2019re already saving a lot by doing it yourself.
