Marvel mystery oil for a few cycles should help with sludge build up. Just be careful it can be hard on seals.

Marvel Mystery Oil, hope, prayers that the mystery comes through. Otherwise seafoam.
Not sure on the Lucas. Looks little past that. Only marvel mystery oil can help you here. That stiff is magic...
I have a 1965 F100. It has been in the family since it rolled off the showroom floor. My wife's grandfather installed a Marvel Mystery Oil inverse oiler. It still works. The truck has 93000 miles and runs great.
Can support the 1/4 cup of MMO in the engine oil. Had a Triton with a tick and adding the MMO made the damn thing run as smooth as a sewing machine
I did the Marvel mystery oil 25% and drive for 300 miles engine treatment. While it did cut oil consumption by quite a bit, barely half a quart in 3000 mi now, it didn't take long for the CVVT solenoid to start throwing codes.
I had really really bad lifter tick after I fixed the timing on my NA(you can see on my latest post) I put marvel mystery oil in it about 6/8th of a quart after dumping a quart of my oil which was at full before, let it idle for 10 minutes or so by that time the tick was almost fully gone took it out for a 3 minute drive down the street(I have no working radiator fans) went through all gears tick is completely gone only a little during start ups I hear that that’s normal, safe to say I am ready to change my oil back to normal.
I've used the Marvel oil in my car...it does wonders on keeping those lifters lubed better...I used in my Corvair... I mixed it w/ my oil..
It's best used to quiet down noisy lifters, and it works well for that. It will also clean up the inside of the engine a bit, but you can use ATF for that(which is cheaper).
