This is my advice/opinion I went with full length tampa mod resonator - Magnaflow 10416 No drone, the sound only comes alive when you push the pedal and it sounds very nice, very very nice, it is quiet most of the time and you only hear an expensive sports car sound when you push the throttle. I say go with the tampa resonator and do not cut in half.....best mod I have ever done to an exhaust, plus you save a bunch of $$$$ I hope this helps.

I saw a dude with a magnaflow for a gti last weekend. The resonator was rattling. He sent it back, they sent a new one with no flare to adapt it to the rest of the piping.
