I've been watching a lot of vids on exhaust and just thought if u straight pipe it with a magnaflow muffler it can sound good and loud.
I definitely have an exhaust leak coming from the seam on the muffler where the sheet metal is wrapped around and overlaps itself. The exhaust in question is the magnaflow catback specifically for the MKIV R32.
Unitronic stage 1+ chipped, k&n drop in, k&w lowered, wearing bbs rf301's, custom stainless catback line with two magnaflow mufflers. everything else is stock.
I enjoy the Magnaflow on my B4. I have not liked any version of a flowmaster on anything yet but on some 5.0 mustangs. Bleh.
I'm currently running a catless downpipe, no resonators, one magnaflow muffler and it's pretty loud, but sounds great when I step on it.
the stock pipes with no cat, resonator and one magnaflow is a little too tame for my taste.
I wish it was just stock....seriously. You want sound? Get a good Cold Air Intake. If you MUST...have a shop weld in a 2.25" Magnaflow muffler. Keep your stock piping and resonator.
This is my muffler.
But its 2.5in from the header back (no cat) to a 3in inlet to 3in outlet race muffler. Im not sure what type of muffler it is exactly... I got it for free from a friend who uses them on his sprint cars so it is meant for a small block v8 and is basically one of the least restrictive and loudest mufflers you can buy.
