My father changed a Fram filter years ago and noticed the filtration media became dislodged and looked like if you crushed a piece of paper in your hand. So the filter wasn't doing anything and luckily it didn't get sucked up in the engine and cause catastrophic damage. I highly advise against buying Fram.

Fram is terrible except their racing division filters like the HP18
Crap quality. I quit using them after I had one start leaking the day after I put it on.
Thin shells, terrible filer media and questionable anti-drain back valves.
My brother had a car with an oil pressure gauge. Put a Fram in and he had zero pressure! Put in a different brand and it was fine. If he didn’t have a gauge he would have blown the engine.
I found one with tons of metal shavings from fabrication. I wrote to FRAM and never got a reply. This is for a Extra Guard filter, my go to back in the days... no more.
I used a fram filter for the first time on a recent oil change, synthetic endurance + kirkland 0w20. no issues so far.
Friends don’t let friends buy fram
The frame filters are fine assuming you change your oil every 5k miles or 4 ish months
I've used nothing but Fram on my 16 forester 2.5i. Just hit 102k miles. I change the oil and filter every 3-4k and have never had an issue.
