Ford states it can be mixed with the older coolants, and we do that at the dealer here because ford approves it. We have not seen one problem happening from mixing.

Ford orange is no longer available and for good reason, it’s very closely related to GM’s Dexkill, it has tendency to become very acidic, or even worse gel up.
I have the 6.7 power stroke, but 2015. My manual says to use a certain Ford coolant (orange IIRC) but it’s been updated since then and everyone considers orange “detrimental” today. Hell I don’t even know if you can still buy it, it’s “that bad”. It got replaced by another Ford coolant, but you wouldn’t know that just looking at my owners manual.
I used the Ford coolant and haven't had a problem for the 2k miles I've done with it.
Just pick up the Ford equivalent. Cheaper and more accessible.
