I used an Escort Redline for a few years about a decade ago. While it did save me a bunch of times, the false alarms simply became too much and I got rid of it. It made driving more stressful than speeding without it. If it were fail-safe, I'd be all for it. But all the noise, mostly false alarms, and not being of any use with lasers, I just didn't think it was worth it. Since I got rid of it, I enjoy driving much more, whether speeding or not.
Reviews of ESCORT radar detector

I can only speak to my Escort Redline 360. Love it. First radar detector I've had and it has saved me and my group behind me in the mountains and on the back roads around here at east 5 times.. Range has been better than all the others except my buddy with a 458 and his radar system is on front and rear bumpers etc.. Crazy money system. So I'm happy with it. Has the arrows showing where the radar is coming from and signal strength.
