I recently installed a Cloyes timing chain. Instead of the 3 colored links which allow you to quickly line up the marks, this chain had 6 (6!) colored links, none of which were in the correct location. I had to count links on the old chain, and mark the new chain so that I could install it. NOT impressed.

I put a water pump and timing chain on a year ago. Once I got in, I saw that it needed a timing chain too. Ford wasn't open on Sunday so I bought a Cloyes brand chain from OReilly. One year later, to the day, I replaced it again due to a P0016 code.
Never used cloyes on belts. I used to use them for chains but had several failures over the last few years. Seems their quality has gone downhill.
A Cloyes double roller timing chain I got from them snapped on a freshly rebuilt 5.0 Ford, bending 9 valves and breaking two pistons. It said Cloyes on the box but china on the links
