A name brand 15W-40 like Chevron DELO or Shell Rotella will be fine for your old Honda.

Surprisingly chevron 20w50 is also good. My mechanic tested out a bunch of oils in his aircooled vanagon. He’d drive it down to mexico and do a 2500+ mile round trip and said chevron burns the least.
I used Costco’s 5w30, Walmart Supertech Synthetic and Chevron Supreme semi-synthetic. The latter is my favorite. I also had Blackstone do a UOA(used oil analysis) and my engine and oil are all in top condition.
Did a ton of research and went with Chevron Supreme 5W30, it’s semi synthetic, will go 5K nonissue and it’s exactly what the local Toyota dealership gets delivered into those holding tanks.
