Reviews of Bosch wiper blades

I've tried the Bosch wipers for my car twice...with no success.

I personally have Bosch ##CA blades (## = inches), and they've been working well for me so far.

The wiper blades that came on my car (used) looked a lot like the Bosch A582S AeroTwin set available from many sellers on eBay. Just bought a new set myself, waiting for delivery. Between then and now, I've used Rain-X wipers. An older style didn't fit properly but the Latitude does work and fits properly, though doesn't look as nice as the Bosch set which is actually relatively inexpensive. I would recommend finding the A582S set.

So I stopped at the closest auto zone and got some Bosch Icon blades I think they were. Easily the best set of blades I've ever owned. So far they have gone through three snow storms and I don't have a complaint yet.

My Jetta has Bosch Evolutions which are only starting to streak after almost 4 years.

I switched to the Bosh Icon. they were more expensive, but I haven't had to change then in two years and they are still going strong.

I had the same issue as you describe. The damn streak was right at eye level making it very difficult to drive at night in the rain. I put the wipers on service mode and looked at how they fit onto the windscreen. I noticed the wipers do not contact the windscreen where the streaks appear. The wipers have a natural curve to them. The curve was too severe and was lifting in the middle. So i took the wiper off and applied some pressure to straighten out the wiper blade by hand. Basically, bend the wiper up and hold it straight. Now the streaks have disappeared from my eyesight! but have moved to the lower part of the screen.

Make sure the wiper blades themselves aren't warped. Mine were when I took delivery of my 2014 GTI. My driver side one kept leaving thick streaks behind at eye level (to the point where visibility was dangerously bad at night in the rain). I first tried cleaning the blades off but that didn't help. When I got a closer look the next day I noticed that the blade itself looked slightly twisted and bowed inward at a certain spot. I had my dealership replace the wiper blade and the problem went away completely.

I would say the factory wipers are comparable to the Bosch Icons (I had a set of Bosch on my previous car and I liked them). I need to get a new set of blades. Mine started to chatter and streak at 14k miles and a little over a year of use.

The Bosch Icon are cool. I happened to notice a buy one get 50% another sale at AutoZone. I snatched a pair for the R and a pair for the GTI.
