I learned this after installing Bosch plugs in a Honda many moons ago. Japanese cars like Japanese-designed plugs.
Ja tive problema com velas bosch. NGK é melhor.
I have a shelf of new parts for a bunch of my VW’s. All the cap and rotor parts I can find are the same for either car. They’re brand new. The plugs are brand new as well. Gapped by the Bentley. The plugs were “black” from trying to fire but not.
Installed new Bosch Plugs (WR7DC+), Bosch Distributor Cap, and Rotor. Now the car seems to be having a weird idle sitting as stop lights, and the engine almost shut off while I was backing into the garage. Also she seems like its having a harder time sterting up as well.
I purchased from a local auto parts store for my 07 E550 and SO's 05 E55 - stealership quoted around $1k, parts for each with Bosch Iridium plugs was about $125. Installed new plugs at around 70k for the E550 and OE plugs (also Bosch) looked clean and the gaps were spot-on
definitely avoid Bosch spark plugs. I'm not personally a fan and I've seen plenty fail. Unless they were original in the motor (usually Subarus don't use Bosch), I'd stick with NGK or Denso in my opinion.
I had those on my 2017 civic 1.5t sedan that I had some performance mods done to and they worked great
I am running LiquiMoly Molygen at the moment, use LiquiMoly Engine Flush and Direct Injection Cleaner when chaining oil, put in new Bosch plugs and coil packs about 9 months ago.
I used Bosch iridium spark plugs in my 2018, no issues
I've had my Bosch platinum spark plugs in for 120k+ kilometers and they still run as good as they did the day I installed them, back in 2011.
