Best Spark plug for Volkswagen Golf

I run [Denso 5749](https://www.densoproducts.com/denso-5749-ikh01-24-iridium-racing-plug) non projected tip plugs with my FBO IS38 car.

They're 1 step colder, and non projected so the risk of a strap breaking off [\(like this\)](https://i.imgur.com/gdJFaJ4.jpeg) are extremely rare.

Ive tried other plugs that are oem spec but not from VW and I like the way the oem plugs work better.

I’m running them on stage 3 with no issues APR Z1003100 APR Iridium Pro Spark Plugs - 14x26.5x16mm - Heat Range 9

The bosch plugs can be found at autozone or O'Reilly's for about 18 bucks each. Cant recall the exact spec, but vw uses the Bosch plugs stock, so its a direct oe swap.

I was running APR coils and went back to OEM. That helped. So did going to the Denso 5750 plug and getting an EQT grounding kit.

Densos. Buy them off rock auto.

Either one, but I found the Denso to be cheaper and easier to get. No issues with them.

I changed spark plugs to NGK laser platinum plugs with a 0.32 gap. The issue only arouse after I got the tune.

On my stage 2 mk7 I swapped around and tried a few like ngk and the ngk failed causing misfires like crazy on acceleration. Back to OEM and never had another issue for 45k miles.

Replacing a motor is not fun, nor cheap. That was with 9006 RS7's btw (your current plugs).
