OEM Subaru Brake pads

I have a 2017 Forester XT with 131,000 miles - have only done routine maintenance and have had to replace brakes front and rear as well as both control arms and struts, all expected with this many miles on it. I plan to keep it for as long as I can. Love it!

Pros: love it, expected wear
Cons: replaced brakes, replaced control arms, replaced struts
Mileage: 131000 km

OEM Subaru Spark plug

The most expensive proposition was a new windshield, but your particular insurance could solve that. Spark plug replacement was a surprise as far as cost is concerned. I've routinely changed the oil and cvt fluid once. No other maintenance issues. I love the car. Incredible roominess in the cabin and very capable offroad when needed.

Pros: no other maintenance issues, capable offroad
Cons: expensive windshield, costly spark plug replacement
Vehicle: Subaru Forester
Mileage: 98000 km

Rating 5.0

I have a 2019 Forrester. 100k miles. Burns no oil somehow. I monitor it closely. I've changed the CVT fluid 2 times. Zero issues. I change my own oil every 5k miles. It's been so easy to own but maybe I'm lucky.

Pros: no oil burning, zero issues
Vehicle: Subaru Forester
Mileage: 100000 km

OEM Subaru Control arm

We've got a 2018 Forester, 118k miles and so far it's been a great vehicle. I've been very impressed with the AWD handling in Montana winters and off-road. I've done all of our maintenance myself after our initial free service period and only recently replaced both front lower control arms and wheel bearings which came out to about $265.

Pros: great vehicle, impressive AWD
Cons: replaced control arms, replaced wheel bearings
Vehicle: Subaru Forester
Mileage: 118000 km

I just replaced my OEM Subaru battery on my '22 with an Odyssey AGM 35 for about $370.00. The original OEM battery lasted about 3 1/2 years, let\u2019s see how long this one will last.

Pros: Odyssey AGM 35
Cons: OEM lasted 3.5 years
Part number: 35
