Pilkington Windshield

Safelite can do replacement. LR shop referred me to them. Pilkington, Optikal, Laminated… This is what LR said was OEM or equivalent. Was $1,200 with heating elements. This cracked recently after 7 years.

Pros: OEM or equivalent
Cons: wires can be blinding
Vehicle: Land Rover

Toyo Tires

I have a 2014 with 19” rims but I love the AT3s (255/60/19). They look great. They fill out the wheel arches just right and look like the right tire for the kind of vehicle it is. I’ve got 16k miles on them and they have a lot of thread left, still look practically new. I don’t notice any freeway or road noise.

Pros: look great, low road noise
Vehicle: Land Rover
Mileage: 25750 km

My wife’s L322 on the coopers is stone cold boring in snow here in Colorado. She’s from the south so she’s always a bit nervous in the snow but she just commented to me yesterday that she feels so confident in that thing with those tires (I had made a comment that I thought the Coopers had worn in to be quite loud an she rebutted saying she doesn’t notice nor care due to how they perform.

Pros: confident in snow, good performance
Cons: can be quite loud
Vehicle: Land Rover Range Rover

Britpart Brake pads

Rating 3.5

Personally, I’ve had decent experiences with Britpart. I actually prefer their brake pads over premium equivalents as the stopping distance and pad squeal seem more tolerable, though I do have to change pads more frequently.

Pros: tolerable stopping distance, less pad squeal
Cons: frequent pad changes
Vehicle: Land Rover Defender

Laufenn Tires

....and I'll throw in another vote for the Continental DWS 06. Also relevant to this thread - I bought my '11 Range Rover Sport in January, and it had Laufenn tires, the cheapest option on Tire Rack in the proper size. They had plenty of tread life but they were not great - noisy, not a lot of grip in any conditions - so first excuse I had, I swapped on the Continentals, and they are substantially better at everything.

Pros: substantially better at everything
Cons: noisy, not a lot of grip
Vehicle: Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Pirelli Tires

Rating 2.0

I recently purchased 4 new Pirelli Tires at Sam's Club. The new tires fixed the loud humming, but now when driving highway speeds, it feels like the car (2018 Land Rover Discovery HSE Sport) is all over the lane, almost like the wind is blowing the vehicle around.

Pros: fixed loud humming
Cons: car feels unstable
