Continental Tires
flowopmit
  • Grip:
  • Ride comfort:
Rating 5.0

For a 2020 Fit in Chicago, the Continental TrueContact Tour is the single best choice great comfort, really solid rain/slush grip, and perfect for small hatchbacks; I’ve run them on a similar car and they felt planted without being harsh.

Pros: great comfort, solid rain grip
Cons: without being harsh
Vehicle: Honda Fit

BFGoodrich Tires

Went with the BFGoodrich Advantage Control, super cheap out the door w/ rebate at Costco, I think it was like like $450 for 4 tires? And BFGoodrich just uses older Michelin designs so their tires are amazing and better than the budget brands it competes with

Pros: super cheap, amazing tires

I've been happy with the Michelin Defenders that came with my Fit. Quiet, smooth ride, long lasting, and they're good enough for the way I drive.

Falken Tires

  • Grip:
  • Noise:
Rating 4.0

I have a 2013 sport, live in Michigan and just put Falken Aklimates. An all weather snow stamped tire.  Just had my first snow rip in them today and they hook up nice. A little louder than my previous tires (tiger paws).

Pros: hook up nice
Cons: a little louder

We replaced the OEM Firestones with a set of General AltiMAX RT45 all-seasons and they have been fantastic so far on our 2019. Quieter than the Firestones and excellent in both dry and wet.

Pros: quieter than Firestones, excellent in dry and wet

OEM Honda Floor mat
k_dub503
  • Fit:
  • Cleanability:
Rating 4.0

If the car doesn't have them, and you can find some, the Honda-branded rubber floor mats sold for Fits at Honda dealerships. They are high quality, arguably better than say WeatherTech (which tend to curl up).

Pros: high quality, work great
Cons: WeatherTech tend to curl
Vehicle: Honda Fit

Hankook Tires

I have the same problem. I have the Hankook Ventus V2's and they're fine when its dry but I'll be spinning tires whenever it rains. I got to be extra careful whenever its wet out.

Pros: fine when dry
Cons: spinning tires when rain

OEM Honda Fuel pump

188k km 2011 Fit, fuel pump died around 140k mechanic said likely because I ran it with low gas tank often, changed transmission fluid during last oil change because the dashboard indicator told me to. Other than that no major issues. Making a weird sound as the car starts up recently

Cons: fuel pump died
Vehicle: Honda Fit
Mileage: 140000 km

OEM Honda Starter motor
yuho210
  • Cranking:
Rating 1.0

I’ve had the issue for a long time, since it was 11,000 miles or so, the dealer then diagnosed it with various things and replaced the starter, battery twice, and most recently in 2023, the button was replaced under recall.

Pros: button replaced under recall
Cons: car simply stopped starting
Vehicle: Honda Fit
Mileage: 11000 km
