I replaced mine after the factory blades chattered on day 1, I've used a couple sets of Bosch Icon blades for the past 3 years with no chattering issues.
Chevrolet Bolt parts reviews
On the Bolt specifically, just make sure to confirm the battery was actually replaced. Otherwise, the Bolt is an excellent car especially as a 2nd car for a family. The charge speed and the recall concerns are the only reason against getting one.
Also live in Minnesota. I got the cross climates. Don\u2019t have to change them out, they perform great in winter. Have had them on for 60k miles or so, mostly highway, and they still got a lot of life left.
When I bought my used bolt from Carvana. I had scheduled a full review at the local Chevy service center/dealership. They confirmed the battery had been recently replaced, other than that perfect condition.
I use OPD on my Bolt EUV 2023 and it works wonderfully so far. We've had tons of snow and all sorts of crappy road conditions lately in Southern Quebec (I live in the country, not the city), so I have a pretty good sampling. Reminds me when I had a manual transmission.
Lack of maintenance is a huge factor for me. I came from a Prius.
Lots of talk on this sub and on chevybolt.org about Blistein B6 shocks. Many say it improves the ride quality.
I have put 105,000 km on my 2020 Bolt in the last 2 years (I also live in NS). in that time, I have replaced the tires, a 12v battery and brake rotors
Brakes. Calipers and rotors. Shop told me there was corrosion, and that spraying them with clean water in winter might help alleviate this. They de ice in winter where I live, so corrosion can be worse.
I had a brake caliper seize, which given the high usage of regen and the salty roads in NY isn't surprising. I've also had a wheel bearing go out.
