My 19 c8 3.0 had the same exact issue within 4 months of buying it last year. And the car died on me mid fwy in dtla. Take it in to ur nearby dealer theres an open recall on the alternator i believe.
Audi A6 parts reviews
My A6 has 158k on it, had to do the timing chains at 150k, the car is in immaculate shape otherwise and it was too nice to junk.
going strong doing water pump and new oil pan right now. Tensioners were done as a precaution at 195k.
I run EBC Redstuff pads, the brake dust is very minimal.
I changed the glow plugs on my 2001 A6 and I'm fairly sure they have never been done.
I was in a position where I didn't need to use it for weeks so I just took my time with it - soak them up with WD40 for days at a time and slowly loosen them up. Didn't break any but I had to have patience to leave them overnight to soak when they were feeling tight.
(I could be wrong, but) the temperature gauge you're likely seeing is the coolant temp and this only takes under ~5 minutes to warm up. Oil takes about 10-15 minutes of driving in the summer to get to a temp where you should start pushing the engine.
I had the same issue on my 2019 A6 3.0 last year. Two times I had to pop into the dealership to have oil removed (no charge) and the issue was due to dilution and short trips.
Since acquiring my A6, it’s had everything done in dealer. I recently got my brakes done by a friend who has a shop near my job. However, doesn’t mention that he slapped Akenono pads on the car. These Akebono pads are spanking new and they’re sooooooooooooo loud. I drove it around for a week or so, sound is still there. Took it back to him, he “sanded” something and now the car makes a god awful squeak/groan when lightly applying the brakes lmao. What’s crazy is that I’ve used Akebono in my E46 and my Mini and never had this problem. Anywho, the car stops perfectly, just fucking loudly lol.
my Audi A6 got which I had for 7 years got 2 in one week.
Well- the valve cover is FULL of sludge! It was good I ordered a new valve cover because I had to cut the sealed area behind the valve on this one for self-discovery...there's no way I would have been able to clean it without a bucket full of degreaser...
