Wiper blades Trico or OEM Toyota

Trico Wiper blades

I just installed a pair of Trico blades delivered by Amazon and the two blades were bare in a segmented cardboard box. The only plastic pieces were a protective sleeve over the blade and the adapters.

Pros: cardboard box packaging
Cons: adapters have plastic

This is why I am glad Toyota/Lexus still sells just the replaceable blade itself. Less waste and their wipers are better fitted to the windshields.

Pros: less waste, better fit

I stuck to OEM for years but recently tried the Trico Asian Fit and I was surprised how well they held up. I drive a lot and can’t stand noisy and ineffective wiper blades.

Pros: held up well, not noisy, effective

I've had similar experiences and found the Trico Flex to be the "sweet spot" of performance, cost and availability.

Pros: performance, cost, availability
Vehicle: Lexus

Passenger side wiper misses in the same spot. Using the wiper de-icer button doesn't help either when it's too cold out because any slight gap and the blade stays icy.

Cons: misses spot, de-icer ineffective
Vehicle: Toyota 4runner
