I’ve had my current oem Volvo wipers (bought the car used) for almost 3 years. Through east coast winters too. They still work great. No sounds or streaks at all. 50k+ miles without replacement

Pros: work great, no sounds, no streaks
Vehicle: Volvo
Mileage: 80467 km

sometimes I think it gets itself into a feedback loop. It's like the sensor detects the wiper itself as rain and speeds up, which will lead the sensor to detect the wiper again and speeds up further. Now thinking about it; I don't think I have had this issue recently and I did change the wiper blades in the spring, so maybe that helped.

Pros: new wiper blades helped
Cons: feedback loop, speeds up
Vehicle: Volvo V90

While the blades weren’t great, they were skipping across the windshield, especially in lighter rain. The tension was WAY off and after the tech adjusted it, I’ve been pretty solid the last 8 months. It works with the washer fluid or a car wash just fine.

Pros: pretty solid after adjustment, works with washer fluid
Cons: weren't great initially, skipping across windshield
Vehicle: Volvo XC90

I have a V60 T8 and I absolutely despise the wipers. The automatic function is completely worthless. But the biggest problem is that the wipers don't actually wipe very well. Very streaky, even with new blades and a spotless windshield. And the wash function does nothing.

Cons: streaky, wash function useless
Vehicle: Volvo V60

OEM Mazda Wiper blades

Dealership/official Mazda service basically gave me a middle finger. So new car, issue since first rain. They said that they've put a replacement rubber for free and that it's normal for it to make sounds. Nothing more they can do :D In case you're wondering, it's acceptable that your new car even with replaced blades sounds like 30y old rusty from your local junk yard. Such a shitty experience. My first and last Mazda. It's too much work apparently to replace the wiper itself under warranty or at least investigate (since the issue is gone at higher speeds >> could indicate faulty spring/wrong pressure).

Cons: makes sounds, shitty experience
Vehicle: Mazda
