My model 3 took some serious hits from rocks with no crack.
For me it is incredibly durable. There are hundred of chips on my Model 3 windshield with 53k miles due to freeway driving most of the time, but it is still not cracked yet.
They put in a Honda windshield and I've had no issues.
My CPO had a fairly pitted windshield on delivery. Luckily it was replaced for delamination, the new one is holding up OK.
MINE IS AT 1500 miles and I have two TINY specks maybe even 3 on my windshield and NOTHING ever hit me
After less than 2 weeks of owning my HRV a rock struck my windshield and a large crack occured after I parked for work. It happened again 4 weeks ago but I immediately took it to a glass repair shop to get it sealed but as the technician did it, the crack started to become larger.
Had 415 miles on it. The rock hitting was minimal and created a crack almost the same location as the photo. Not bad luck, shitty glass I'm thinking
Had once replaced the windshield on my previous car (Toyota) during 9 years and 120k miles. But with MY23 it’s already twice in 6 months. Been living in same area with similar driving routes and driving habits. Quality of windshield that tesla is using is certainly questionable.
My girlfriends cracked the same way around the same amount of mileage. Seems like a design flaw.
Got mine in September, was cracked exactly this way by Jan 1. There’s no way this ISN’T a design flaw (at least).
