Had mine replaced at the end of last year with a new Pilkington unit. The mirror sensor was unclipped and the clipped onto the new one - no issues. Like others have said, the cheap OEM version on my old 2018 was soft and pitted/stained easily. Worth the upgrade!

Pros: worth the upgrade, no issues
Cons: soft, pitted easily

I asked the dealer to replace the windshield and they did, I was in a loaner for a week while they had the car, waiting for the windshield and installation. All the cameras and sensors work for.

Pros: cameras and sensors work

Pilkington is an OEM supplier so I wouldn\u2019t be too worried; my old Volvo had a factory Pilkington windshield.

Pros: OEM supplier

I have an 18. I've had my windshield replaced. Replacement glass from Pilkington, made at same factory as the original VW glass. Was around $300-400 installed. No camera calibration required.

Pros: no camera calibration required
Vehicle: Volkswagen Golf

Since the last time I posted, Anthony installed the Pilkington FW4119 glass on my car. He was right--it was completely free of any distortions, haziness, or warps.

Pros: free of distortions, no haziness
Vehicle: Volkswagen Golf
Part number: FW4119

I find it to be much stronger than oem windshields on these cars and cheaper too. Had my cracked oem one replaced with Pilkington glass by an independent glass guy for $260

Pros: much stronger, cheaper

OEM Mazda Windshield

Glad I found this. Just purchased my cx-30 premium and same issue. Noticed it within 5 minutes after leaving but convinced myself I just needed to adjust to my new car. I don’t think that’s how it works. You can either see well or you can’t. And I can’t. I’m super bummed out. It’s so disorienting.

Cons: disorienting, can't see well
Vehicle: Mazda

I just got my Mazda CX30 and I’m experiencing the same problem! I have to call and get it replaced. Definitely not safe to drive like that, hard to totally focus on the road and gives me a headache.

Cons: headache, hard to focus
Vehicle: Mazda
